Apple has released Eleven Generations Of iPhone models, each accompanied by one of the eleven major releases of the iOS operating system.
Apple’s 10th anniversary iPhone is finally here, and it’s called the iPhone X pronounced “iPhone Ten”. The Cupertino, California-based company made it official at event on the Apple Campus in the Steve Jobs Theater
The original iPhone was described as "revolutionary" and a "game-changer" for the mobile phone industry. Newer iterations have also garnered praise, and the iPhone's success has been credited with helping to make Apple one of the world's most valuable publicly traded companies.
Apple CEO Tim Cook called the new iPhone X “the biggest leap forward since the original iPhone,” and it’s easy to see why. The screen, which takes up the whole of the phone’s front panel, is made from surgical-grade stainless steel, with glass on the rear panel. It’s water- and dust-resistant, and available in space grey and silver
The iPhone X is designed to be intuitive despite one big omission: The physical home button on the front. These work across the operating system, for multi-tasking. Siri is still activated by voice or by using a multi-function side button, and a double tap on the side sleep/wake key activates Apple Pay.
